GPGPU technologies are advancing, and today it is mature for a wide use. Organizations looking for extreme supercomputing performance will find a suitable solution. There are many technologies to consider, along with the potential, but it is necessary to select the best solution that fits our needs. For many, it is a new technology and terms - we will try to address that issue and align with proposed technologies and terms used in the field. In addition, we will summarize some uses for GPGPU in the world today and some key advantages for using this technology. And finally, a big question - What can be done to ease and promote the use of GPGPU in the industry and academia?
The meeting will discuss the GPGPU technology, basic terminology, what prevents the community from entering the field and what activities can be done in order to ease and promote the use of GPGPU.
